When planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park, there are probably a few things that you have envisioned. Maybe it is the awe and power of steam exploding into the air from one of Old Faithful's timely eruptions. Or, maybe you see yourself bounding through the vast wilderness in the luxury of a snowcoach with without even a glimpse of the civilized world in your sight. Perhaps, your dreams find you driving your own snowmobile through groomed trails as you encounter wildlife such as bison, elk and wolves. Whatever you have in your mind...that is only the beginning of the countless experiences that you will have during your visit to Yellowstone National Park. What you probably have forgotten is the activities and entertainment taking place in surrounding communities.
As you begin to plan your upcoming adventure to Yellowstone, you will find that the lodging options within the Park are fairly limited. Although these historical lodges are truly magnificent, it is unlikely that you will be spending each and every night of your vacation within the Park boundaries. With so many lodging options and such a vast range of activities available in each of the communities just outside the Park, your adventure has only begun!
