Nightlife / Bars
When the sun dips beneath the horizon and the twilight disappears, tourists leave the ski slopes surrounding Yellowstone and head for some après ski in the many bars and restaurants in the area. In fact, skiing and animal watching are merely two daytime past times of many visitors, but the evenings take on a whole different atmosphere as skiers, snowboarders and snow tubers take to the drinks and dance floors and party the night away until the early morning hours.
The majority of skiers that head to Yellowstone and its many resorts need a break and some alternative activities once the day has ended and the ski slopes are closed. They set their sights on the après ski bars, restaurants and hotel lounges that dot the area, letting their hair down as they party into the night, chatting, dancing and flirting until the next round of skiing begins.
The best après ski location around Yellowstone is by far the Mangy Moose Restaurant and Saloon, located in Teton Village at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It has two different dance floor experiences and local bands play live to give it the real party atmosphere.
Other Yellowstone area ski rsorts, such as Big Sky Ski Resort, Bridger Bowl, and Grand Targhee Resort all offer slopeside entertainment and/or nightlife.
